Favorite Christian Quotations
There is such a down to earth honesty in the New
Testament writings. My favorites are Paul rebuking Peter openly then
afterward he said one should first rebuke another privately and there is
Paul and Barnabus splitting up because they couldn't agree about Mark.
These were real people with real victories, defeats and weaknesses like
ourselves. They did not make things up because they loved the truth and
most died for telling.
- Robert Mallord
I suspect that most of the individuals who have religious
faith are content with blind faith. They feel no obligation to
understand what they believe. They may even wish not to have their
beliefs disturbed by thought. But if God in whom they believe created
them with intellectual and rational powers, that imposes upon them the
duty to try to understand the creed of their religion. Not to do so is
to verge on superstition.

There was a day when I died, utterly died. Died to George Muller, his
opinions, preferences, tastes and will — died to the world, its approval
or censure — died to the approval or blame of even my brethren and
friends — and since then I have studied to show myself approved only
unto God.
- George Muller
The Christian life is Christ living His life through us today. We can't do it ourselves, nor can we do it by the Law.
- J. Vernon McGee
